Jack-up Rig Designs

Designs developed and offered at Jurong Shipyard and the Sembcorp Marine Group:

Friede & Goldman JU-3000N

The new JU3000N design is the result of the combined development efforts of Jurong Shipyard, Noble and Friede & Goldman in creating an enlarged hull that will offer more operational benefits, including ergonomic and efficient accommodation layout, increased deck space and placement of equipment that will allow the crew to efficiently and safely carry out maintenance duties. On completion, the new rigs are capable of operating in waters of 400 feet and drilling depths of 30,000 feet.

The rigs are suitable for operations in many challenging environments, including high temperature areas such as the Middle East and in the North Sea.

Pacific Class 400

Proprietary Pacific Class 400 deep drilling jack-up rig designThe Pacific Class 400 is a new deep drilling jack-up rig design with the capacity to drill up to 30,000 feet while operating in non-harsh environmental conditions of up to 400 feet in water depth.

The new model features improved drilling efficiencies with offline pipe handling, simultaneous operations support and enables the rig to operate in greater water depths without compromising on optimal wave height.

Based on the popular Pacific Class 375 design, the new design is a customer-oriented response to the needs of our clients. Both proprietary designs were developed by sister subsidiary PPL Shipyard.

Pacific Class 375

The Pacific Class 375 Deep Drilling Jackup Rig is equipped with a drilling package that will enable it to drill high pressure and high temperature wells at 30,000 feet whilst operating in 375 feet of water. It is designed with extensive deck space, with accommodation for 120 men and has a large jacking capacity for preload jacking.

Since its launch in 2004, the Sembcorp Marine group of shipyards has successfully delivered over 25 orders worldwide, four of which were built by Jurong Shipyard and can be viewed here. The successful and proven Pacific Class 375 design was developed by sister subsidiary PPL Shipyard.
